o.k so heres the scoop Ive decided to go with aftermarket shocks. The mechanic and i have already discussed disconnecting the prc computer in the back seat but is curious to know how to get the firm ride light on the console permently disabled? and is there anything else that needs to be done besides disconnecting the prc computer and removing the actuators?

If you pull the 60 pin connector off the PRC computer, the firm ride light will never come on.

I just changed my shocks today with Monroe shocks and left the actuators connected to the wire harness. I put the covers back on the front struts and tucked the back ones in behind the plastic trunk liner. Took it out for a ride and the light in the dash comes on when the switch is in firm and went out in auto. I am still trying to decide if I like the sense-a-track shocks or not…they seem to be right in the middle of auto ride and firm. The parking lot at work almost requires a truck to get in to and out of so lowering my car was out of the question…unless I wanted to walk another ½ mile to get to work. I am not sure if this answers your question but I left the actuators connected and the car still thinks they are doing something.
