Well its been around 2-3 years since ive owned anything modable..and no my camry doesnt count lol. Picked up the TC from a buddy threw TF and a weird coincidence. High miles but oh well 187k and he claimed it ran before the winter started and he went to start a few months ago and no go. Looks like he did wires/cap and rotor but it never wanted to run. I towed it to our 2.3t garage lol and with a few buddies we got it running in an hour or so. Turns out the plugs were soaked with fuel and dirty as hell so we threw in a new set. Also saw the PCV was disconnected which would cause a nasty vacuum leak. Took it for a ride down the road and it made it back in one piece so im happy lol. The underside of pretty rust free which is rare for a new england car. Needs some minor body work, the pass door is rotted in a common spot, needs window regulators I think, High beam stalk is broke, brakes felt crappy and it could use struts. For what I paid for it im not complaining for a running car. PIcs to follow

The oe ivr is unreliable and failure prone. Jeff K did a writeup on a solid state ivr:
http://turbotbird.com/techinfo/ivr/impro..._state_IVR.

Ivr is instrument voltage regulator which powers the temp, oil pressure, and fuel level gauges.

Page not found...

But I talked to him and he ran a Solid State one instead of replacing the cluster with another old one and risk having it go again. I guess ill leave it in if thats the case.

First thing I would do there is check/adjust base idle and make sure TPS is working properly.
