Finally getting Back to the T-Bird

My car has been pretty much sitting in the carport for 4 months.

Tomorrow I put on the new rack and pinion I picked up from Napa. I'm also going to put a Coil over kit on that is off of my buddy's Mustang. Hoping to get the leaky rack out of the way and track down whatever is causing it to fail emissions and then be able to drive it on the street again.

If all goes we'll I'll be autocrossing it in two weeks. I felt like getting it ready for our last event. I can't move up in the Index standings, so I have to settle for second. So I may as well run the T-bird for some fun.

Here's to hoping all goes well tomorrow!

I hear ya. The Blue project car sat all summer cause I was feeling pretty crappy. Last week we started body shop class & now I've got the bug to get it done. Re-wet sanding & buffing out the car & hopefully in about 3-4 weeks, I'll start the ghost flames my wife keeps asking me about. I just picked up the rear seat from the Upholstery shop & man it looks good. Will have the fronts done in 2 weeks. Then we will be putting here back together.

I love workin on these cars. I'm thinking of starting a business - TPS Restoration (Turbocoupe Parts & Services).

Yeah, maybe you could get Tony to put some of his engine parts on the car too.
