I copied this from my post over on TF.....enjoy.

Last year I was booted from our local 1/8th mile track for running under the 7.49 cutoff point which requires a roll bar, harness and fire jacket.

After deliberating on the pros and cons of installing the safety stuff, I went ahead and decided it was time to do it.

Here are a couple of shots I took before I started removing the interior:

An "in process" shot:

And a couple of finished shots. I haven't decided how I want to finish the door panels yet, but the rest is done:

All of the interior except the bottom of the dash, parts of the door panels and the seatbelts have been changed to black. New black carpet and headliner as well.

I....am.....exhausted.

Very nice indeed! I know they make weld-on hinges for those things . You ever think about hinging that outer bar to ease ingress/egress?

Meh..no biggie. I just sit on the bar, slide over and drop in the seat. Getting out is a little more difficult (plant one hand on the door sill and grab the roof with the other hand), but not difficult enough to mess with door bar swingouts.

Looks like you did a great job...

When you ran 7.49 in the 1/8mile...what was the mph?
