Finally Cleaned up the Car

So the car still isn't tagged to be legal on the street, but I did spend the morning and early afternoon cleaning it up!

Just a refresher, the car was purchased for $150, had a bad PS pump, the interior/dash was completely ripped out, wiring everywhere, but it ran. Though it was trailer home.

It sat for a few months, till I finally got around to finishing up the wiring (mostly finished) and replacing the Pump, along with replacing the alternator and since the dash was out I replaced the heater core.

The dash is back in, interior still needs work, there is none besides the drivers seat and rear seat. The passenger seat is out in the shop, I should go pick it up and put it in.

Here's what it looked like the day I picked it up. http://www.solo2.org/gallery/albums/15/5.aspx
and more day 1 photos http://www.solo2.org/gallery/albums/15.aspx

Here is what I did today.

And here's the money shot http://www.solo2.org/Gallery/photos/61/2.aspx

Not bad for a $150 purchase.

Next to do though, is replace the steering rack before I lose another power steering pump, the rack leaks pretty good. I've also gotta scan it to figure out why I am not passing emissions.

After it's street legal I'll do the interior, carpet, headliner and door panels, most likely all custom if I get motivated enough. Then I'll get a new front bumper cover and fix the driver's side fender. Who knows what mods after that. This is just a toy, beater, hopefully it'll be cleaned up enough one day that I can drive it and park my 350Z a bit more as I put way too many miles on the Z.

Just showing off a bit, proud of how well this thing cleaned up today.
