It turned out to be a combonation between the caliper pins and the rubber bushings in the front. heheh sometimes its the simple things that get you in the end! every time i would go over a bump, the caliper would jump up, rattling the brake pads around...since i fixed it no more rattle!

I just replaced the old worn out rubber bushings with new ones. Just a word of caution for everyone, you cannot buy the rubber bushings seperate from Ford anymore....they are now part of a Motorsport Kit (Caliper attatchment kit) however, you can stil find them at Autozone....go figure huh? hehe I also replaced the old attaching pins...no more rattle!

This might be something I need to try. I have several mystery rattles up there. Next time I redo the brakes I have a feeling it will be a very through job.

Another option instead of the rubber pin bushings is to get some of the stainless replacements that are out there. The bonus to them is that don't allow the caliper to shift/twist as much as with the rubber..thus allowing for better pad engagement/wear..and they don't rattle .. [Image: tongue.gif]
