This morning, I wake up hungry, that is actually odd, because that never happens, any way, I stopped at the local chik-fil-a and got a biscuit. since the drive thru line wrapped around the building, I figure what the hell, Ill go in. Well I come back out and I was running a few minutes late for work, I hop in the car, hit the key, and should have waited an extra second for oil pressure to build up, and took off. Then I hit my turn signal to leave the lot , when I noticed the signal wasnt working. I figured no big deal a bulb or fuse. Then I look at my gas gauge, it wasnt working , neither was the temp or oil pressure. I was like WTF? The speedo, and tach were just fine, no clock, no climate control. So I get to work and shut the car off. Then I hit the ket and cranked it back up and everything was fine. IS this a problem anyone else has heard of?

Also I am having problems out of my brake system. It uses about a quart of brake fluid about every month, I looked at all calipers and had soemone pump the ppedals with the car runnning, I see nothing. I next looked at the master cylinder. upon closer inspection, I noticed a VERY clean area on the K member, directly below the master cylinder. Its so tight in there with the Upper intake in the way I cant get a good enough look, to try to see where it could possibly be leaking. My guess it is from the bottom somewhere, any guesses or similar problems anyone could share. Thanks in advance !

Electrical: Your ignition switch is on its way out.

Leak: Jack it up and look from below. A likely place for a leak under the MC is from the pressure switch for the PRC that is in the line to the rear brakes.

OKay Jeff, I hope this doesnt sound dumb. By prc, you mean the Programmed Ride Control system? It is tied into the brakes? I have removed the front prcs and replace with whatever Napa sells as a replacement strut. The rears however need to be done as well. I am asking only because I dont know, although I have heard of stranger things?

If I can get over to my folks house tonite We'll jack it up and take a look.

Yes, the PRC is tied to the brakes. If brake line pressure exceeds 400 psi, the pressure switch on the rear brake line closes, telling the PRC computer to switch to FIRM mode. If you no longer have the PRC operational, and you do find the pressure switch leaking, you can just remove it and put a plig in the hole. This will require bleeding the rear brakes. I dont remember the thread on the switch.

I'm not sure what PRC means in relation to the brakes either, but it's not the struts I know that. Jeff is saying there's a pressure switch that could leak on the distribution block that feeds the rear brakes.

If you jack the car up and get under it, looking straight up all the brake stuff is fairly easy to see.. Check it out whatever you do. I had instant brake failure just a day or so after noticing a leak somewhere. In my case it turned out to be a rear caliper, but don't mess around with brakes!

I get what he is saying, about the pressure switch, I am not familiar with all that goes into controlling the prc. But will deffinitely check it out!
