The truth be told, I wasnt looking for this car, it found me. I dont think i ever saw or even thought about the 88 TC ever until I saw it sitting for over a year in my neighboors parking spot, and for 500 bucks how could i say no. But growing up riding in my grandfathers 59 T-Bird i knew i wanted on one day. It will be hard to convince anyone, that what was considered the worse years in automotive manufacturing history, that these cars will ever be considered classics, especially if more aftermarket part manufactures decide to stop making parts for them. Yet, the one great thing about the TC is that it was built before they put regulators on engines, to control just how fast your car will ever go. My friend just bought a 97 dodge stratus and after thousands of dollars in upgrades he finally came to grips that his car will never go over 120. Such a shame, that this is what the automotive industry has come to, and i clearly know that i will NEVER buy another new car again. I laugh at the 2002 T-bird owners that paid the 40 grand for that pile of replicated modern day plastic crap, thinking their driving the original. Yet still they are brothers of one of the greatest car names in automotive history the Ford Thunderbird. So show your Bird's proudly tommorow in Carlisle and let them envy over the look and name of one of the longest running car models in American history, and make them wish they could have one.

I'm not a big fan of retro cars, and don't care for the TBird, however, I don't think that the owners who are paying 40 grand are thinking they are driving anything but what they bought. Unless mommy and daddy were rich, it takes a little bit of brains to be in position to afford one of these cars.
