Fans won't turn on

My fans suddenly stopped turning on as temperature rises. If I activate the a/c, they turn on. I'm new to TurboCoupes and just bought this car (an 88). As I've poked about the car I've found several connectors not connected to anything, however everything on the car works (Power sun roof, cruise, etc). Any ideas?

I dont have my manual with me and it has been a while since i worked on my car.

I would check to see if the temp sensor/switch is working. You can always jump the switch and see if it turns your fan on. First, look in the wiring diagram if you do this.

First, here's a pix of sensor locations. The fans are triggered by the ECT sensor.

Second, here's a link to troubleshooting the cooling system.

These articles, and lots, lots more, are in the Tech Articles section.

As old as Pete is, I'm sure he gets a few naps in during the day...

Thanks, guys. I'm shocked at how helpful people on this board seem to be. I realize (somewhat belatedly) that I should have done a search on this topic before asking questions. I'll learn. Thanks, again.
