factory settings

Got a '87 turbo coupe last year and have found this site very informative. Before that I had a base model '87.
Mine is all stock.(all but radio and I'm working on that) It has all power and the 5-speed. I am wondering if any one knows the proper factory idle. Mine runs at about 1500 RPM. Also the IHI boost as per factory settings. At it's highest mine will go about 6PSI.
Also I'm lookijng for good interior parts (ie unbroken) which are pretty impossible to find- maybe I'm looking in the wrong places. I especially need the center piece of the console with the switches.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Welcome!!

First thing to do is a complete tune up (plugs, wires, rotor, cap) using MOTORCRAFT parts.
FYI the IHI should be boosting close to 10 PSI, not 6. The problem could be the boost control sensor, or the wastegate.

Heres a good explanation on how to set the idle on 2.3T's http://projecthp.ford23.com/tech.html

The idle setting is covered in the Technical Section...

The Base Idle Speed should be set to around 750rpm with the IAC unplugged. When the IAC is plugged back in it should settle in around 1,000rpm.

Your turbo may have carbon build up on the wastegate door causing it to stay partially open and limiting your max. boost ??? Or your wastegate actuator may be bad.

You can post in the "Wanted" forum for any parts you need.
