I have found someone that recovers factory shift knobs just like the original 5 speed TC shifter knobs. He currently does them for the SVO mustangs and is willing to do them for the TC's.These will look just like the originals with the TURBO and 5-speed pattern .I am working out the details far as cost right now.I would need to know how many of you would be intrested in getting these done for your cars.He would need the old ones for a core .Let me know who is all intrested in having this done.

i have my origanal shift knob on my car, and i hate it. i swapped it for one from a 5.0 mustang right away. those knobs are way too damn big, and there like made of NERF foam covered in painted plastic. guess its just a matter of preference.

O.K guys and gals i received word that this is not going to be a cheap process. For the members here it would be 111.00 each plus your core .Since he has to make up the patterns and cost of matterials.I think it is a resonable cost since NOS ones from the obsolete parts gougers wanted 150.00 for them when The knobs were available.Obviously this needs to be a group thing the more sent in at one time the better. You all let me know and if it is a definate thing i will get the ball rolling on this deal.

$111? Holy crap! I just used a 98 Cobra knob. Looks nice, and feels great. Paid $25 for it new from the local Ford dealer. Of course, it doesnt say TURBO on it, but I dont need a shift knob to remind me I have a turbo.... I remember that every time I step on the gas! [Image: smile.gif]

i bought an aftermarket alluminum shift knob from advanced auto for $18. Its shaped like a pool ball, but has billit design and is so much more comfortable than the sh!t that was on it when i bought it a few years back. Look into it if you would like a nice looking knob that is well worth the price!!!

I'm out too, I've got the Cobra knob. An addition 80-90 bucks for the word "Turbo" is too much. TC owners are frugel, or cheap, I haven't figured out which yet!
