can anybody let me know if the factory EQ had an on/off switch. my old bird's had one too many backwoods stereo installations done. i got a mess o'wires in that cavity but only partial knowledge of what i'm working with. any help would be nice. thanx

If you mean the factory EQ/amp, then yes it had an on/off switch on the left side. Its notorious for failing, though. Many of us have a little piece of zip-tie holding the button in the 'on' position. Someone with more knowledge of the factory stereo nightmare will chime in to help.

Yea they have an on/off switch. And yes they screw up alot. I do not use mine anymore, and is in perfect shape and working order.. I upgraded my entire audio system, and am not really looking to keep it. I'll give you mine for $22, shipping included.
