I'm wondering if my car will look good with the side molding removed. Anyone have pictures of the body without the molding?
Thanks

I was even thinking of removing the fender pieces too. Maybe if the bumper edges are too obvious then saw zaw/ hacksaw it to feather them out.
Or, do like the Mustang SVO and have just the center section of molding (red of course). Then a custom sticker saying TURBO COUPE
Anyone know if the SVO molding is long enouph?

the problem with removing the pieces from the rear quarter and the front fender are the holes where they bolt on... they arent stick on like the 6 pieces between the front and rear wheels. but nothing a little welding work cant fix if you want to put in the time
Yes... Infact i would like a cookie.

Here is a pic of mine with all the side molding removed, the bumpers filled and blended to the fenders and quarters.

I had to pull the bumper covers, cut the ends bring them back together. The cuts were then repaired with bumper repair adhesive (bondo will not adhere to the bumpers}. The grove that the molding was in also was was filled with bumper repair filler.
I spent about a day on each bumper cover. It is alot of work but, I'm happy with the results.
The bumper covers are only 1/8-3/16" thick so you can not simply sand the ends down.
