Im trying to figure out the best way to connect my exhaust... Ive tried the 'band' type clamps, and they dont work for crap IMO. So far, two test drives, two times pulling back into the driveway to put the exhaust back together. I have a 3" from the turbo back, crosses over to the drivers side right behind the tranny and goes over the axle. All butt joints.

Also, any advice on hanging it from the undercarriage would be cool. Im trying to get this done without going to the exhaust shop, but...... Thanks in advance.

you can buy hangers from an auto parts store and attach them to the old mounts. or find a bolt or something to attach them too. so your saying the bands get loose? Ive seen them used before and they worked. what brand did you use?

My guess is that if you don't have proper hangers in place then the clamps are under significanlty more stress. Get the hanger in place and then see if you still have a clamp problem

Not sure on the brand. I got them at NAPA. They dont seem to be small enough to hold the pipes. And they dont seal the exhaust either, you can put your hand by the connection, and feel the exhaust blowing out. I think Im gonna try to get my neighbor to weld it all in place. Not sure how good he is with a welder though.

Hey guys, just wanted to update. I went to ACE and got some aluminum flat stock and some stainless #12 sheet metal screws and hung the exhaustso that it barely moves. I think I have @6 hangers on it. No problems with it coming apart, but it still blows at every connection. Is there a gasket for the turbo elbow to DP connection? I have a major leak there too.
