Exhaust

So I just got my car back from Ford. They did the ignition switch recall, and sent the car out for the exhaust.

heres what my exhaust guy did for me:

3" pipe from the turbo to where the exhaust breaks into the "Y" after the cat. He installed a high flow Magnaflow plished stainless 3" cat.

Thanks Ford!!!

BTW...you can def. feel a noticeable difference with the bigger pipes. I see that I have more available higher range rpm's at my disposal before the power flattens out.

Next on the adgenda....is a set of straight through's...

The magnaflows should be straight thru mufflers if Lou's exhaust did their homework.

Thats correct!

Maybe it was just a fluke, but members on here that have an 88 TC should call thier ford dealer with the VIN and see if you can also get a new cat....

Ford did this for free? I'd like a new free ignition switch for free... don't care about the cat. lol

it wasn't the switch you put the key in itself...its some sort of swith underneath the clamshell.

yes...all for free...and the dealer I used was very good.

Wow I can't believe they did this all for free. I already did my exhaust but it hangs really low and get's scraped sometimes. Do you think they'll still put a new exhaust on it? I left the 2.5 inch downpipe chopped the cat and put on the muffler and dumped at the axles..

There is the lock cylinder, that the key goes into and it operates the ignition switch, the thing that notoriously needs replacing.
