We have 10% ethanol in our premium gas here all year (also MBTE at around 10% in some brands). Been using the 10% ethanol blend for 5 years with zero problems, other than slightly reduced gas mileage compared to 100% gasoline.
I doubt the gas is the problem. Start with the obvious.... do you have correct fuel pressure?, do you have spark? is the timing belt intact? Is the cam timing correct (belt may have skipped a tooth or 2), is the dist. rotor turning during crank (possible dist drive gear chewed)?
