It should drop in. Is this an SVO engine?

i hope so... :p knowing the motor in my TC was from an SVO would be GREAT...

anyways, you may need to change out all the brackets and accessories, so you can use your serpentine belt and such, but the bolt holes are all there for that.

Scuse me, but I thought the earlier turbo engines were missing a bolt hole in the head for the intake manifold. The head on my 88 is cracked and I found a guy who says he has an 84 mustang turbo engine (with a carb) for $300 but passed because of reading that info on here. Now I'm confused

There is a one hole difference in heads. I think it changed when they went from the inline uppers to the square intakes allegedly for the Rangers. It's the first hole at the front of the head, for the lower intake. Many people have just drilled and tapped a new hole as needed. The later SVOs had a square intake.

Off topic, sort of. What is an SVO with an engine in it doing in the JY? Maybe you should snag the whole car??
