I'm gonna be pulling out the motor out of my 88 TC and while its out, I'd like to detail & clean-up the engine bay. Does anyone have pics of their's without the motor installed? What color is the block painted - Ford Blue or Black? Mine got so much dirt, oil, & road grime I can't tell?

See the pictures by GTbird in this post.

I think the blocks were originally black, but don't let that stop you from being creative.

Thanks Pete for the info & the Link......That's one clean engine bay ! ! !

Cashsaudio, I was planning on doing everything you said - don't want any oil spills on my driveway. It won't be neon green, I think Black is best.

Thanks
