Engine Detailing - HELP ???

I'm gonna be pulling out the motor out of my 88 TC and while its out, I'd like to detail & clean-up the engine bay. Does anyone have pics of their's without the motor installed? What color is the block painted - Ford Blue or Black? Mine got so much dirt, oil, & road grime I can't tell?

hey its all black on the block but it takes time to clean the motor what i did before installin the motor is take it down to the block like take the head off and replace all the gasket so you don't have to worry about leaks i have mine neon blue neon green and gloss black i do have pictures of it but need to download here thanks jeff

Cashsaudio, I was planning on doing everything you said - don't want any oil spills on my driveway. It won't be neon green, I think Black is best.
