Something weird I noticed today... But it always blows hotter than the temperature I set it, when my temp and other gauges go way up. I know my ivr is bad, but are they somehow related or do I have a faulty climate computer/sender? Where are its temp senders at anyways?
And one more question my cat (or at least it seems to be coming from my cat), makes a boiling noise when I turn it off after more than a 15 min drive. Is my cat possibly going bad or am I more likely just running rich?

IVR has no connection to the EATC system.
I forget exactly where the cabin air temp sensor is, but it is under the dash is a small plastic tube about 1" in diameter that sucks cabin air thru it.
Noise: Is it just an irregular "click-click-click" type of noise that lasts for a few seconds? If so, that is normal expansion / contraction of the hot metal parts.

ECC temp sensor is inside the small cutout on the underside of the top center portion of the radio/ECC trim ring.

thanks for the pic woulda never guessed it would be there. Thought it was maybe next to the auto headlight sensor. I'm wondering if the idiots at the stereo shop somehow messed something up when they put my alarm and stereo in. They put a flashing led in that exact spot
no its not a click click noise that usually happens when a hot car is turned off it sounds like someone is making coffee. Its weird but I just don't know if its something I should be worried about or not? I already read some of the problems a plugged cat can cause

My ECC wonders up and down as much as +-15 degrees from set point. I was wondering where that little sensor was.
Thanks for the post.
