Of course a I waited to join this website until after I replaced the mega module that controls the fan, fuel pump etc... hoping that it would fix the primary fan problem.

So I am pretty certain that my engine coolant temp switch bad but my local Ford dealer is not showing it being installed on the 2.3 for 87 & 88.... only on the 3.8's and 5.0's. I downloaded the niffty diagram off this website which shows it's location but it didn't seem to help.

Can anyone tell me what the FoMoCo part number is for this crazy switch. I have the fan rigged to turn on with the ignition key now but it's the a\c fan and it's not the right way to fix the problem.

All Ford EEC IV ECTs are physically and eletrically identical.... just ask for one from a 93 Taurus, 89 Ranger, 90 Crown vic, etc... all the same.
