Looking for help in locating the cabin temp sensor switch. I got a code 12 on my EATC tonight and my heater is not blowing out very warm air. I know where the ambient air sensor is but i have not fopund the cabin sensor? Any suggestions? I believe it is behind the EATC panel is this correct?

The only one I can think of is behind the panel trim, when you remove the trim that has the center vents.

Well i finally found the cabin temp sensor. it is located under the center dash trim (trim around the radio) at the very top. I took the trim off, sensor out and cleaned it off with brake cleaner. I no longer have a code 12. That was caused by to low ambient temP. (My garages and car were too cold for a proper test). Any ways I got the car warm and no codes at all but still have a cool car when i want heat. Done the heater core exchange years ago and I got great flow thru it. So now I will look into the blend door being out of wack. I'll wait till it wars up a little before I mess with it.

Anyone else had this problem??

When you are under the dash checking the blend door you might want to check the air hose to the sensor from the heater blower as they can get blocked up with stuff coming in thru the cowl vent. If there is not enough air flow thru the sensor it will report incorrect temperature. The blend door not working correctly is supposed to set an error code but that is not always the case. The linkage from the actuator to the blend door arm can be loose. The actuator can be moved to change the position of the blend door by loosening the three mounting screws. Temperature with the system in AUTO at the driver's floor duct should be 121* to 129* F with the control set to 85* F.
