I stopped last night at an old friend's Dad's place on my way out of another trip to California. We got talking shop and I mentioned I was thinking of getting a grinder to grind my intake smooth and what not. He stands up and takes me to his garage to his full diesel mechanics set he inherited when his father in law died and handed me 3 or 4 different air rotary tools and a set of different stones from one of the tool chests. What a guy!
Fun in the garage this winter.

Nice find Matt. However stones won't work on alum. They tend to clog with alum, fast and bad. You need alum cutters and sanding rolls

Thanks Pete. I guess I don't need a stone exploding on me. Exhaust work then!

Matt, it's not that the stone will explode. It just gets gummed up with alum and then stops grinding any new material. Basically it just bounces on and off the work piece

Matt, So you'll let me come over if you're ever actually home, right?
