Just saw this...looked like an interesting design/concept... anyone wonder what it would sound like on our cars? It seems to be a straight-through design. Hopefully I might find one up at carlisle. http://www.dynomax.com/mufflers.php?muffler=vt

Looks like it is designed to keep back pressure up at low RPM / power output for enhanced torque (IN AN NA APPLICATION), and then the valve opens at high RPM / power exhaust flow rate. SOunds good for an NA application, but NOT GOOD for a turbo application. I can see the valve closed hurting spool time in a turbo application. A turbo provides al the back pressure you need. Best thing for turbo application is a free flowing as possible after the turbo.

For any application in a daily driver, I wonder how long it will take for that valve to stick shut or the spring to corrode off.
