I dynoed the 88 Turbo Coupe today. I have a BBK Filter that is fugged on the end of the VAF, 12 degrees of timing and it hit about 14 PSI on the stock gauage. It made more than I thought it would, I figured the most would be 150 rwhp.

It made 165 rwhp at what looks like 4800 RPM's and 202 rwtq at 4200 RPM's. The torque peak is at a high RPM because it dosent let you hit 14 PSI until after 4000 RPM's. The graph is WAVY from it struggling to pull on the dyno. [Image: smile.gif] I cant post the graph because I dont have a scanner.

Get a gillis valve and you can get 17-18 and get it by 3300 with the stock exhaust system, even lower with some exhaust upgrades.

I am going to get one, I had that planned before I bought the car. [Image: smile.gif] The car hasnt been drivable until now, thats why I havent gotten one already. [Image: smile.gif] I might go have the cat cut off soon, I just want to keep it kind of quiet, I hate the way 4 bangers sound. [Image: smile.gif]

My cousin's friend held a leaf blower over the intercooler while I dynoed because the fan wouldnt reach it. The last run, we didnt use the leaf blower and it only fell off a couple horsepower, probally from heat more than anything.

I dynoed it at Professional Engine Service in Mobile Alabama. If you go to www.dynojet.com, they have listings for places that have dyno's, you could see if one is in your area.

It was $60 for three runs, no wideband, I didnt want to pay the extra $25 right now, besides, I dynoed my 88 GT the other day, so I had already spent money there this week. [Image: smile.gif] I will dyno it with a wideband when it's making more boost. [Image: smile.gif]

Thanks for the tip on the website. Found 3 or 4 places that have them within 1/2 hour of my place. I may just see what mine does stock with 220K on it.

No problem. If you do dyno, post the results, just remember, if you have a 5 speed, do it in fourth gear. They will go over it with you.
