I inquired at my local parts store today about the availability of those new "dustless" brake pads fo the front of a 1987 TC (can't remember if it was Raybestos or Bendix who made them). Anyway, they informed me they were not available yet for the front of the 1987's. Anybody know any additional information about these? That damn brake dust is killing my stock wheels.

I get Raybestos from PepBoys. I don't know why but the Raybestos pads I've gotten from Kragens always turns the wheels black....go figure!

GARY WHY DONT YOU USE THE FACTORY REPLACEMENTS.I'VE ALWAYS USED THEM AND DONT HAVE LARGE AMOUNT OF DUST ON MY WHEELS.JUST WASH THE CAR EVERY TWO WEEKS OR SO AND YOU SHOULDENT HAVE A PROBLEM.I ORDER MINE DIRECTLY THROUGH FORD DEALER,AND MY GUY GIVES ME A 30-40% OFF LIST SO I PAY ABOUT $60 FOR THE SET OF FOUR.I REPLACED MINE WITH AFTERMARKET ONCE AND PAID A PRICE FOR IT.IT REALLY HURT TWO OF MY RIMS BECAUSE IT WAS IN MIDDLE OF WINTER AND IT SAT ON WELLS FOR A FEW WEEKS...NEVER BEEN THE SAME AGAIN.

I use Performance Friction Carbon Metallic and Ireally haven't noticed that much dust at all I like them so far they feel nice and are extremely resistant to fade.
