Has anyone ever tried a dual turbo setup on these cars, a small one and a big one that takes over after the small one?
88 TC- under construction. Street/Strip toy.

Did you search, both here and at turboford.net? It's been covered before, if you want to build one go ahead, meanwhile we're already pushing 400+WHP, with full boost between 3000-4000, what more do you want? If you want something to play with then try the VNT turbos...

Its been done in the turbododge world, there is a guy with a twin turbo 2.5L shadow, using two of the small mitsubishi turbos

Are you guys understanding what GoNNY is asking? He's not talking about two cylinders feeding each turbo. From what I can tell, he's asking about using a smaller turbo to spool a larger turbo...is that what you're asking GoNNY?
I know it's done a lot on tractor pullers and diesel engines. I've heard that the valving gets a bit complicated though.
If my 'ass'umption is correct, do a search for, "sequential turbocharging" and you'll come up with lots of stuff.
