Replaced the wheel bearing which was bad, but I still had a vibration issue. Don't know why I never noticed it before, but I could also feel it in the shifter. After taking a short test drive and actually paying attention to what it was doing I realized that I had classic symptoms of a bad Universal Joint. First off let me say that it would have been much easier to do if I had the next size up Bench Vise! Anyways - as I was taking it all apart they didn't really look all that bad... until I got to literally the last bearing cap. Inside the last cap I removed it was completely dry, rusted up, there was probably 6 of the needle bearings left and the rest I suppose had been ground to dust!
These were pretty old, non-greasable U-Joints. Needless to say, I bought the new U-Joints with grease fittings!
Just thought I'd share.
