Hi
I need to get a new drive shaft for an '84 TC. The engine mods I did apparently bent the original.
Does anyone know if a Mustang drive shaft would fit, or does the Thunderbird have different dimensions?
Or, has anyone had a custom drive shaft built--any recommended vendors?
Thanks!

There is a place here in Mesa, a city here in the Valley of the Sun where I got mine, custom made. I can’t see where you are located, but unless you are within a few hundred miles or so there has to be a place closer to you. Shipping would be pretty expensive I would bet from here.

1987 Turbo Coupe w/T5OD, 8.8 axle, grey smoke; most options. Got it in 1991 with 41K miles: 3 turbos, 2 heater cores, 3 T5OD full rebuilds, 6 clutches, 1 head gasket, 2 Teves II ABS units, etc. later....

mustang will be too short the Thunderbirds are longer
you'll need one from a 83-88 Cougar or Thunderbird
also has to have the same transmission as whatever you have (you can't use an auto driveshaft with a manual trans)
1985 SVO: Pro 5.0 Shifter, Boport valve springs, Manual boost controller, AEM wideband
1985 TC 5 Speed
