I was wondering what is the best RPM to shift at to get the fastest acceleration. If anyone could respond I would really appreciate it, I want to start drag racing my car and want to get the fastest time I can get.

Assuming it an 87-88 try 5400 to 5700. If you are doing 1/4mi you may find slightly quicker times shifting to 4th than winding through the traps in 3rd
