I was talking to a guy about a new turbo,a T3/T4 to be exact.He said a 3" downpipe will not work on one of these,something about uncovering some sort of hole or port or something??????He said I would have to bolt up a piece of a 2.5 DP and step up to 3" and then back down to 2.5 for the rest.Isn't that kind of defeating the purpose?Anyone already running one of these have any input?Thanx guys.

I don't know about others but the S-M downpipe has a very short section of roughly 2.5" right where it bolts to the turbo exhaust elbow because the elbow is only about that big and you can't bolt anything bigger in there.. It then flares to 3". It may sound self defeating, but those of us running them will tell you it works. I don't know exactly how the T3/4 come configured on that end. Is the exhaust elbow different than on the stock T-3??
