Does the 87tc have seperate relays for lock and unlock? If so where are they? My doors will lock with the button but not unlock.BTW they do unlock with the keyless

Yes. The relays are beneath the passenger seat. If it unlocks with the keyless entry the relays are OK and the problem is with the switch. Did you check the other switch on the passenger door?

It won`t unlock with either switch. Ill have to check power and ground at the switches and post what I find. thanks for the info on the relays anyway.

Bump... I am having the same problem with my car, my doors will lock with the buttons but dont unlock with the buttons. The relays are beneath the passenger seat?
87 TC 5 spd... 17X9 Cobra R's, .60/.63 SVO T3 Turbo, Large NPR, Manual Boost Controller, AEM Wideband, BPV, K&N Cone, Walbro 255, Kirban AFPR, 3G Alternator Conversion, Short Throw Shifter, Stinger 3" Exhaust, Magnaflow Catalytic Converter & Muffler.

Try firmly repeatedly pressing the unlock button. Chances are you hardly ever use the unlock inside the car and the contacts are just a little dirty or crusty. This happened to me once, and it still does ever now and then if I don't use the unlock button. Several quick taps on the button shakes the dirt loose and they function again. Maybe spray some contact cleaner on them if you care to take the piece apart.

Thanks for the reply Kev, Somebody suggested this to me before( tapping the botton) and i have try it on several occasions. Still won't work. I will take them apart and spray some contact cleaner on them and see if that works. IMO i don't think that is the problem though because both driver and passenger switches will lock with the buttons but dont unlock.

Any other suggestions?
