Hi guys,I just bought another TC.A black 1988.A former NATO member.ill list it soon.i noticed that when I open the door on this that a red light goes on on the information panel down in front of the stick shift.My maroon ''88 doesn't have this light.did they all have this option or is my bulb out? Thanks. Philip

Either the bulb is out, or the door ajar switch, which is different than the dome light switch, is disconnected or inop. Door ajar switch is located inside the door attached to the latch mechanism. The usual problem with fords is the switch gets gummed up and the door ajar light stays on even when the door is closed.

what type of bulbs are in the information center panel? When I open it up I want to be able to replace one if necessary. thank you philip

I'm guessing they're the 194 bulbs found throughout the instrument lighting, but I've never had to replace one so don't take that as fact.
