Done On Sunday

I've been busy today - I installed my K&N set up - Gillis Valve - replaced my BCS - replaced my IRCM - I'm hoping my cooling fans will start working - it's wet here today - so I won't be test driving this baby till tomorrow.

88 bone stock TC with 138k, 5spd, burgundy, almost all options with new U-joints, tranny Xmember, front end, FULL tune-up with select MSD products, new horizontal axle shock thingies, custom interior, white face guages. Coming soon: boost guage and air fuel ratio guage on the pillar, Gillis valve, K&N, gutted upper, knife edged lower, gutted E6, T3, and steam cleaned engine bay.

Even if it didn't, that is the story some of us married guys would tell the wife lest she have us do other things, like watch a Meg Ryan movie or shop for curtains. You may want to practice these handy phrases for when you need them:

"Sorry, honey, I have to check the timing, and it is going to take all day."

"I have to go buy spark plugs, and it is getting real hard to find the copper ones that this older car takes. I should be back home for dinner."

"My car is acting up. I'll probably have to spend a few hours adjusting the TPS and cleaning the IAC. I'll probably finish right about sunset."

"I need to replace the anti-sway bushings, I think that it will take most of the day since the ones on the car now are so old."

"This K&N will increase power AND gas mileage, but installation is an all-day job."

"I have to fix it now so that the car is safe to ride in."

By the way, some of these will only work once if your significant other pays attention.

Of course it took all day! When you are doing your own work on your own car then 8-12 hours is never enough time for anything!

just tell her, i need to work on the car so i can take it to work and make money. otherwise, lets go live with my parents. oh, your not allowed to go shopping any more, too.

Oh, sure, rub it in. I'm not married, but then again, I'm still in highschool. Although... nevermind, I'm not gonna get married. I'll just have alot of meaningless relationships and have alot of kick ass cars.
