Couldn't stand the thick layer of dust on my black T-Bird. It's 10-15 degrees in Connecticut, so there is no way I can wash it. Took it over to the cloth automatic car wash in town this morning, and had them do it. Gave the guy who wiped it down a tip and everything. Was really happy, until I saw this fine line of scratch marks running straight down my trunk--where that little wheel goes. Now I am going to have to compound it all out in the Spring to try to restore it. Careful folks! -Kent

I've gone to this Advanced Car Wash place here in Stillwater a couple of times and it doesn't use brushes. It uses some technology (whatever) called RainMaker. It's pretty good, other than both times I have been through it, it has blown my left rear signal light bulb. The tail light assembly is not on completely nor sealed well. It has 4 options, cost ranging from $5 to $8, $5 being express and $8 being advanced (the works). I wouldn't mind going back to this car wash...after fixing the tail light. :p

The last time I went through one of these - as a passenger in a '70 GTO Judge - it took off the rear spoiler. I vowed after that I'd never take a car through one.

Yeah, this frigid CT weather isn't making things easier..
I go to the local automated car wash and use the touchless with the under body spray on my truck. Because nothing actually touches it, it wont scratch it and it cleans it up pretty well. I wouldn't even think of using the regular one, just my .02.

They sure do, and the exhaust smells like french fries! Veggie oil and similar fuels derived from plants is called boidiesel these days.

I think they require a special heater to keep the frying grease from solidifying, but it's a great idea. -Kent
