Does mustang radio/eq work?

My 87 TC came with a big hole in the dash where the factory radio and eq belong. I'd like to put it back to stock. Does anyone know if the radio/eq from an 87 Mustang will work in our cars?

Thanks in Advance...

Well I honestly dont know.I'm guessing probably not. First off, did your car originally come equipped with the premium sound system? It should say on the front door speaker grills. If they are not there you can check in the trunk to see if there is a factory amp( hexagon shape)mounted on the flip down seat brace on the drivers side.If it does it would make it much easier to bring back to stock.Hope this helps! Welcome aboard!

Many people like I have just ditch the factory radio and sound system alltogether. Unless you want to keep it all original.

Yeah, my car came with the premium sound system. It still has the amp in the trunk, and the speaker covers say "premium sound" on them. I'm putting this car back stock, so I'd prefer the original radio/eq over aftermarket. I realize that it doesn't compare sound-wise, and who has cassettes laying around anymore...

I figured that, since they are the same year ford product, the mustang radio and eq might work. The front panels look the same (except that in the stangs the eq is mounted below the radio.)
