the gillis is faster to install, and i didnt have to make it. however, it was 40.00 bucks. i guess you gotta ask yourself, is your 2 or 3 hours time, plus gas and such to the hardware store(assuming you can find all of what you need) worth 28.00 dollars?? not sure if you wish to conceal this modification, but the gillis is smaller, and comes with all tubing required, AND the plug for the turbo inlet housing(VERY IMPORTANT), something not mentioned on that page.

I am often accused of being cheap, but $12 worth of parts (more if you dont have the tap), $5 worth of gas driving to 2 or 3 hardware stores, trying a bunch of different springs to see which ones give me the correct range of boost control (another $5 in gas), forking up $40 for a Gillis is the way to go.

Charles, you tried building that same controller? Did you gt it to work at all? Did it spike boost? Slow to respond? Just wondering...... seems to me as if that bleed hole in the side is too large in those plans.

well jeff i can cheap it up even more because i rode my motorcycle to Home depot got everything i needed including a spring assortment.. But i agree if someone doesn't have necessary stuff to build it or the mechanical knowledge then buying the Gillis is 100% correct. Im more the person that would rather figure it out and be able to say " ya i made that"
