almost 80,000 on it decided to replace cap, rotor, and wires. rotor has nothing but a post to hold it in place other than rotor spring and center spring loaded carbon distributor cap post. Is there a sleeve or something to hold rotor to distributor shaft that i lost?

I have never seen a sleeve of any kind on any of the rotors I have replaced, on any of my Fords. They just push on down, our 2.3's have the little nub which sits down in an alignment hole like in this pic.
