Disaster strikes yet again...

Just thought I'd report that my second 88 TC 5spd was hit today while running errands. The older caprice that crushed my rear driver's quarter panel was unscathed. My first TC was crushed from behind by a really cool firebird...totalled. Then I got the car I have now and loved it just as much. This one can be fixed though, I just have to go to the bank. Wish me luck!

Why do you have to go to the bank. I'm sure the Chevy owner has at least some pocket change.

If it was the other morons fault, his insurance should pay, and if he doesnt have insurance, take him to court and sue him for damages. At worst, your car will be considered totaled and you will get its full current value, which should help to pay for most of the repairs.

For what it's worth...

My State Farm Agent told me that any car over 10 years old that is well maintained is considered a "classic". At 15 years they are "vintage" then on to antique etc. Each level has it's own value book...so if it is totalled be sure they give you the higher value as a "classic".
