hey all, new guy 'round here, and i got a good one for ya! i have an 83 TC with an 88 TC motor with a T5 Manual trans. i swapped in an LB3 computer, wired in the ACT, BCS, and Octane switch, quadruple-checked the pinout at the ECM, and of course switched in the big VAM and brown top injectors. i understand how these cars work, i've had mine for like 8 years, but.... start the car cold, CEL comes on, and goes off (normal), but as it warms up, the CEL starts out dim, but gets brighter over a couple minutes until it's completely lit. if you the car has been run recently, CEL is bright from the start and stays on. KOEO codes are as follows: 82, 83, 85, 88. all AUTO tranny codes, which i don't have. CM codes were 11, system pass, KOER, no codes at all. any ideas, oh, i might add that this is the stock 83 harness and therefore, i have a one wire O2 sensor, not a heated one, which i kinda suspect to be the trouble, seeming as how the ECM still gets signal. anyways, please help, lol, car runs great, just a weird quirk. thanks in advance!

83 did not have a CEL as such. The "check engine" light is a combined overheat and low oil pressure idiot light. Did you add the CEL function when you switched to the LB3?

looks like it was overheating, seems okay now that i added more coolant (had the intake off the other day, forgot to refill!!) and fixed a ground wire to the cooling fan. this car hasn't been running in almost 4 years, so i kinda forgot where i was at, ya know, on the to-do list.
