question, if i squeeze (or plug off) the line from the t-fitting under the vacuum tree the rpms drop down. Do i have this hooked up correctly? Maybe the check valve is backwards? I pulled codes and kept getting 83 (doesn't exist) and 41 for the o2 sensor not switching indicating lean. I checked the diagram on the site and put the white side facing the tree like the pic shows.

The T passes vacuum on to the speed control amplifier in the driver side inner fender. The check valve between the IC and the T should let vacuum flow
toward the T and on to the fender but not let boost flow

Still searching, I swear i can hear a hissing on both sides from the back of the engine. I have blocked off all the vacuum lines and still hear it. Wasted a can and a half of carb cleaner hoping to find something.

If the hissing is at idle (high vacuum0 see if the breather on top of the valve cover is seated tightly, check that area for the hiss.

Well i noticed the radiator was half full, so i pressure checked and and i got holes in the rad tanks. I also noticed oil! little tiny droplets. Anyone no a good place to take the head local? I am about out money to spend on this car.

The car had a head gasket replace before i bought it. The dude broke the oil feed line that killed the turbo when he did the head gasket. I could only imagine how thorough he was.

I've been using Wallace and DeWitt, they are out here in Amherst.

Why the head? Where are the oil droplets seen

in the radiator. who knows how many times the thing has been overheated. I have a brand new 3 row for my capri sitting in a box, just dont know if i want to keep screwing with this. I feel i am ignoring a problem with the crappy head gasket job that was done.

Could be residual oil from when the head gasket blew the first time, especially if the previous owner didn't flush the cooling system.

screwed around a little tonight, pulled the egr. Is the bottom port on the intake side supposed to be blocked off?

There is no bottom port. It just looks that way. There never was a hole there
