Well it has been a few years since I have had to deal with this problem. This car has around 47k orginal miles on it and I wouldnt have thought I would come up on a no start especially when it has had better care than most. The wife called me up this morning and said that the car would not start. It turns over fine and it has a quarter tank of gas. I have not seen the car at all yet and this post may be a little pre-mature but hey I am bored in a cold war era cement building with no windows. The car ran fine last night when she came home. It is not cold here at all. she refused to do anything else to help me solve the problem over the phone. the fuel pump has been acting up for the past few months ie it is about a quarter tank and to accelerate up a hill you get power loss complete guess at a fuel pump. She said she couldnt hear it run but that means nothing coming from a person that barely noticed when i cut the exhaust off at the Cat. I am open for anything I can try when I get home. I tried a search and didn't find anything that helped accept disconnecting the TPS. basically i am asking for your help to run me through the "no start condition" that I used to be so accustomed to.
So far my order when i get home is to...
Try to start the car myself!
Check the fuel level.
Check the fuel pump.
Try the TPS trick i read about.
See if it is getting spark.
Check the disributer.
... may think of more as i sit here. i dunno i am open for suggestions. Oh by the way I turned the wheel over to the Wife in April when I got the new stang. Since then the front suspension has started to squeak, the (orginal) clutch now makes the beloved crickit noise, it somtimes likes to idle at 1500 to 2500 rpms for no apparent reason, and the breaks are squeaking when it turns slightly right. Although i know how to trouble shoot and fix these I have not had much time to fix the above mentioned.
