Had to be at work at 10:00 am this morning. Left the house on the Bird at like 15 after 9(I live 21 miles from work) Got on my main road and she started sputtering and no power. I knew exactly what the problem was, that dang rubber boot under the intercooler! My rig job to fix the cut with Automotive Goop didn't last long. I immediately bust a u-turn and sputter back to the house. Wife came to the door and knew I was not happy. She told me, "Just take the Cobra." I said, "Hell no, I wanna drive Shaniqua!"

I grab my tools, take the intercooler off, break out my electrical tape and temporarily fix the boot, and as I drove out of the yard it was 9:35.

I spool the turbo the whole way, laughing every time I hear the electrical tape squeal from the pressure like someone letting the air out of a balloon by pulling on each side of the end of the balloon.

I get to work at 4 min after, not in trouble cause I AM a manager [Image: biggrin.gif] At lunch I run over to the plumbing dept and grab me a 1 1/2" and a 2" pipe boot. Got home at 7:30 pm. Decided to put the 1 1/2" boot on my IC at about 11pm.

She will live to see another day on the road. Oh by the way, she never ran any hotter than just below the "N" on Normal.
