Ok.. i'm slacking.. I'm still working on doing the heater core exchange.. I've taken the console out plus the driver and passenger seat (I'm redoing the carpet as well) I haven't completed the dash procedure for the heater core replacement yet.. BUT.. how much more work is involved in actually removing the dash from that point? Think I found a reputable company that will completely rebuild my dash for around $400.. (I added a buttload of cracks trying to remove the friggen speaker covers..ggrrrrr)

Taking the dash out is fairly simple. There's a good article detailing where all the screws are to remove the dash under "Heater Core Replacement". Word of advise...mark all connections!!!! I took mine out last year I'm still trying to make sure everything is connected where it should be. A would think a simple numbering system would tell you if you forgot to connect something. Good Luck.

I have replaced 3 heater cores in TC's, you do not have to remove dash completely to replace heater core, If you go to the FAQ area (NATO) you will find a very good procedure on what to remove, but taking the dash out completely is a little more extensive as the both harnesses run along the backside amd side of the dash along with a million relays ( exageration but close) the harness and relays are actually clipped/taped to the back of the dash amd there is no master dissconnect for harness inside the car, as TXBird said above I would definatley mark you connections and take some pics if you can, another note If you are taking dash completely out I would also remove passenger side seat as well (not necessary)

Thanks for the input TX and WJ... I was hoping for like minimal dash clingons.. but it sounds like a nightmare... Think I'll settle for either a dash cap or dash carpet.. wall to wall carpetting sounds more appealing!
