Here I thought I would get away with not having to pull the dash on either of my 87 and 88 TC's. Heater cores don't leak (but I do have 2 ford cores on the parts shelf) but wouldn't you know it the defrost decided to not shift to blow out the top of the dash. No room to see or really try to fix it with the gauges pulled and tape deck and EQ pulled and the EATC control and info panel out also. Well since I need to pull the dash to fix the defroster I will go ahead and do the heater core also. I really only want to pull the dash once.

I just pulled the dash out of the '88. There's really only a couple of bolts (maybe 10) that hold it in. The hardest part is disconnecting all the electrical connectors without breaking the clips! Disconnect the A/C and heater hose lines and yank the heater box also. Not much holding it in either. Change heater and evap cores and clean it up real good. Do it once, do it right! Good luck!
