dark blue TC molding color?

When I get ready to paint my TC, I am going back with the original dark blue metallic. Ive been looking over blue TC's in the gallery and see that the molding strip around the car is black. Gloss or flat?
All the cars I looked at had a red stripe in the center of the black molding. Is there any way to find out if my car had the red stripe? Did they all come with the red stripe or...?

I've never seen one without the red stripe unless the moulding had been painted over. I'm inclined to think that the red stripe was universal.

Red belt line is the only way they were produced.

The black trim is gloss black and all 87/88 TC's had the red line trim. Mike at AerobirdMotorsports sells the replacement red trim. Drop him a line and he can hook you up...Tommy
