Ohio88tc posted this a while ago. I may make a run of Dana Spicer driveshafts for 5 spd TC. The price will be about 150-200. It will have the Dana joints and no modifications will be needed as in the will fit just like the stock shaft. Yes they will be balanced, so no worries. anyone thats interested just email me at [email protected] with "Driveshaft" in the subject line, please leave a name address and phone number so I can get in contact with you and respond with an estimate on shipping. If there is enough demand I can have the shafts made. If you have any questions post them so I dont get a million emails with the same question. thanks ~Byron PS. sorry guys but I cant get carbon fiber, I wish I could for my TC's but no dice

will the driveshaft have the 1330 style u joint?(like the 5.0 mustang and motorsport aluminum shaft)

------------------
69 mustang coupe (next project)
86 turbo coupe (it's fun beating a honda...with something twice it's size!)
86 SVO (it's amazing what people can screw up)
90 mustang GT (project scratch and dent)

...so you have a V8...isn't that cute...
86 turbo coupe (14.12 at 15 psi. sleeper) *gone*

unless I can get the 1350 series for it, for all you that dont know the difference...

The "series" of a driveshaft or universal joint is determined by the actual dimensions of the u-joint. While the front and rear u-joint can be of two different sizes the shaft is only as strong as the smaller one. The 1310 series u-joint measures approximately 3 1/4 inches wide. The 1330 and 1350 both measure approximately 3 5/8 wide. The 1310 and 1330 series can have cap diameters of 1 1/16 and/or 1 1/8 inch or a combination of both sizes. The 1350 series has a cap diameter of 1 3/16 inch and the body and journals are bigger than the 1310 or 1330. Remember 1350 is almost never found in production car driveshafts.

so like i said 1330 for sure, 1350 if I can.

I don't think the stock (sized) U joints are a particular problem in our cars. My preference would be for the stock joints to make it a drop in conversion.

will this be a complete drive shaft with yoke an rear flange? as for the u joints, the 1330's are fine with me. i don't think i'll need a 1350 (though, they'll be nice if it's a complete driveshaft(w/no vibration mount!....damn i hate those things!). [Image: biggrin.gif]

YES, I said it would be a direct replacment. and the 1350 would not make it fit differently; it will be stock length. Yoke and flange included.

Wiil the shaft be stock diameter? All of the aluminum ones I've seen have been much larger in OD, and cause exhaust clearance issues.
