Are there any motor mounts that can be substituted for the 88 TC ones?

The mounts listed at www.expressautoparts.com are out of stock, both hydraulic and solid.

Does anyone know where I can get new ones? I need these as soon as possible, mine are toast and I'm about to begin work on the car [Image: frown.gif]

The general consensus seems to be that nobody makes them anymore. That's why Chuck made a small, custom production run.

I tore my driver's side in half (literally) at the track last year and came up emptihanded after calling close to a dozen retailers. I ended up using the beat-up one off my old parts car.

I think that it was over at turobford.org that there was a thread about this, at least if I remember correctly. I think that O'reilly's is to be carrying mounts now, that is what one guy posted. The thread is in the BS column. You would just have to do a search over there and see. There is also a thread here in the vender section, I just found this. I hope that this helps.

I used an insulator from a Taurus on my driver's side. I had to redrill a different hole in the mount base, but it works. The Taurus insulator is bigger than the original TC insulator.

Hope this helps.

I went to oreileys, they only stock the Mustang 2.3 stuff. I found the Pioneer website, they don't have an online catalog [Image: frown.gif]

Walsted, thanks for the info, I think I'm going to go this route.

I don't know what year they came from. RDOG posted a part number a while back, and I got the insulator that way. I didn't know that the mount was a Taurus part number until I was in a salvage yard, and saw an identical insulator on what was left of a late 80s/early 90s (real unsure of the year) Taurus.

Guys,

What about the passenger side mount? I'm looking to replace this too. Can I use the same P/N for both mounts or are they two different pieces [Image: confused.gif]

Thanks
