Well, I just realized that I need longer bolts for my flywheel than the ones I have from my flexplate; as well as the bolts for the pressure plate. I have neither.
I'm going to call a dealer, but I doubt they'll get me some before the 5 day weekend I just took off to get it all in and take a trip. If I can get the dimensions, it's possible a local performance shop might have something that works.
Damn!
Now I might have to wait until next weekend to get it all in all because of some stupid bolts.

Matt,
I got a nearby friend that has sets handy. I'm going over to measure them. He did say he would sell them if you want them overnighted.
I'll get back to you here in about an hour.
The flywheel to crank is an M-10 but I don't have length or thread pitch. The

Yeah, let me know Pete. The dealers all open here soon, and I'm going to be making a ton of phone calls. Any idea on the pressure plate bolt size? I assume my Star Clutch that should be here tomorrow or Friday won't have them.

Pete, I found the flywheel bolts at a dealer. $23 includes overnight to be here tomorrow. They show the bolts for the pressure plate discontinued, and they could not get the specs on them. So I'll have to take the flywheel down to the local fastener joint and find ones that work.
What strengh should they be?

Matt,

You should use grade 8 for the PP bolts. I would bet that the bolts for a Mustang PP would be the same.

Matt the sizing on the PP bolts is:

Head (wrench) size: 13mm
over all lenght is .95"
thread size is 8mm, pitch is 1.25
These have a standard lock washer but it is captive (doesn't come off the bolt) the thread length from the bottom of the washer is about .79"

I have a spare set if you want them overnighted. You should be able to find something close.

Thanks Pete and Hawk.
The parts guy said the P/N date for the pressure plate bolts was 1979, and according to his book, covered all 2.3 4 cyl until 199x. Discontinued. I'll check at the local fastener place - Tacoma Screw.

Oh yeah, does it matter if the lock washer is NOT part of the bolt?

Matt,
No it doesn't matter, but be sure to use a lock washer.
