Have any of you guys done any custom work to your scoops? Got pics?
I was watching some tv this morn and saw a carbon fiber hood with the scoops with a screen over them. Thought that might look kinda cool, also thinking about some deep blue leds set way back in the scoops. I dont want them really noticeable, but just a slight dark blue haze type effect, barely noticeable.

you are fire fighter? lol i wasa thinking about isntalling a couple LED's into my scoops with a flasher. local guy makes up bars so im sure he can hook me up with something.
Ive seen the svo scoop on a tbird hood which looked neat. but i dont agree on the ricer aspect of it. with the screens and funny stuff

Im definately not looking for a ricer look. Ive seen screens on some beefy mucle cars that looked good. Maybe a vertical screen set in the back of the scoops? Just brainstorming, gotta be a way to do something with the scoops that wont take away from the personality of the hood. Im looking for a <meaner?> look. Not ricey.

Before I put the new fenders on my car I seriously considered stamping louvers into the passenger side fender for a cold air intake and fabricate a box on the inside of the fender. I wanted to keep the look of the 88 hood. The SVO hood mentioned above looks real nice.

I know a guy that has a mold to make the SVO scoop from fiberglass that can be grafted on to a flat hood. This was pulled from a stock SVO
scoop I can put you in touch with him if anyone in SERIUOSLY interested in doing one of these.

A less expensive option is J C Whitney. Since the 70's they no longer carry crome or rhine stones but they have a lot of the popular styles from the scoop days of the 60's and 70's. Most are made of fiberglass and cost about $60. I don't know who their manufacturer is but I've never had a problem returning items I didn't like. Or...a Mustang magazine might have an advertiser for that product. A TC owner must be resourcefull.
83 dead bird, in pieces however I'm reading from the book of the dead, should be running soon.
