Cruise Control Help

Had a problem with the Master cylinder not allowing the antilock to clear on start up. after replacing the master cylinder the cruise will not work now. Thought it may have been the cruise module under the dash by the firewall so that has been replaced and having the same problem. Looking for a wiring diagram if anyone was it for the 88 thunderbird turbo.

I got ABS scans but no CC scans. Which do you want?

The cruise control. This all started when the master cylinder was replaced.

I'm not sure if this applies to the TC but it probably does. On my 93 Cougar, way up under the dash there is a bracket near the brake pedal arm which holds a valve connected to a vacuum line. There is a flange sticking off of the pedal arm; when the brake pedal is up, it presses the button. When you hit the brakes, the arm moves out from under the button, releasing it and dumping the CC module's vacuum which shuts it off. I had the master cylinder replaced on that car and the CC quit working. Turned out that the valve got pushed out of the bracket a little, so the button wasn't pressed in when the brake pedal was all the way up. I just stuck it back in and it was fixed.

The vacuum switch had indeed come out of the bracket. pushed it back in and adjusted and cruise working like a champ. But what a pain in the butt to get at. Thanks for the help.

Yes i have a 1988 that i got 10 years ago with a blown engine. I rebuilt the engine stock at 27,000 miles it now has 198,000 and i drive it 3 times a week to work 160 mile each day round trip. Still runs great. Have complete spare engine totlay rebuilt and spare turbo to put in when this motor ever decides to die. The new engine has 10.5:1 dome pistons with billet rods. it is running the Mustang SVO cam and the new turbo has mis matched wheels 22psi exhaust with 17.5 psi intake pressure. It dyno's at 360 hp when built. Looking forward to running it once the old girl gives up on me.
